Music at Musings - The Divine Comedy, The Fratellis, The View, Biffy Clyro, The Wonder Villains, Garfunkel and Oates, Hank Green

Good evening everybody, and welcome to Music at Musings! *audience applauds* Oh no, really! That's too much! But don't stop! Anyway, Musings has gathered 51 followers! Thank you so much everybody, and hello new followers! I hope you have a nice time here! Let's get started!

The Divine Comedy - I Like

The Irish are very good at rock. They are not good at pop. When we do try pop, it usually ends very, very badly. But there are exceptions to every rule, and this is the best song I have heard in a long time. It's just so happy, and it makes you want to dance! I also want Neil Hannon's glasses. Not the sex doll though.

The Fratellis - Whistle For The Choir

The Fratellis are becoming one of my favourite bands. They don't take themselves seriously, and their songs are catchy, dry and witty, with great hooks and they just sound great!

The View - Same Jeans

I think this is what they call a guilty pleasure... But it's so catchy! How can you not love it?

Biffy Clyro - The Captain

This is one of my favourite songs from Only Revolutions! And doesn't everyone love pirates? (Yes - E.) This only makes my love for Biffy's lead singer stronger.

Oh Peter - The Wonder Villians

On fiction isn't fair, 'Unwritten' wrote about The Wonder Villians and their incredibly catchy song, Oh Peter, about Peter from Heroes. I've never seen Heroes, but I've got the feeling that he shouldn't have cut his hair. (This is me multi-tasking, because this is also a shoutout for fiction isn't fair! Go follow, my children!

Garfunkel and Oates - Pregnant Women Are Smug

Garfunkel and Oates are the most creative, hilarious singers I have seen in a long time. I love the little dialogues in the middle of this song!

Hank Green - DFTBA

This is me being selfish, because it's really a Nerdfighter song. But it's so much fun! I love you Hank Green and Michael Aranda who sang the chorus part!

And this text marks the end of this Music at Musings! Quick shoutout to Miss Vintage Vixen, because today is her birthday! And today is also the birthday of Rupert Grint. Yep, him.

I should really stop grinning and giggling like an idiot. Oh well!

I Have Finally Decided What I Want To Do With My Life.

I want to do this:
Durham University students offered Harry Potter course
Students are being given the chance to sign up to what is thought to be the UK's first course focusing on the world of Harry Potter.
The Durham University module uses the works of JK Rowling to examine prejudice, citizenship and bullying in modern society.
So far about 80 undergraduates have signed up for the optional module, part of a BA degree in Education Studies
.Harry Potter and the Age of Illusion will be available for study next year.
A university spokesman said: "This module places the Harry Potter novels in their wider social and cultural context.
Moral universe
"A number of themes will be explored, including the world of rituals, prejudice and intolerance in the classroom, bullying, friendship and solidarity and the ideals of and good citizenship."
The module was created by Dr Martin Richardson, head of the Department of Education at Durham University.
He said the idea for the new module had been conceived in response to growing demand from the student body.
He said: "It seeks to place the series in its wider social and cultural context and will explore some fundamental issues such as the moral universe of the school.
"You just need to read the academic writing which started to emerge four or five years ago to see that Harry Potter is worthy of serious study."
Now come on... You can't say that's not appealing to you!

Quote Of The Week #18

I talk to God as much as I talk to Satan cause I want to hear both sides. Does that make me cynical?
There are no miracles and this is no miraculous life.
I savour hate as much as I crave love because I'm just a twisted guy.
Is this the pinnacle?
Is this the pinnacle?
The pinnacle of being alive?

My Taking Over The World Is Going Quite Well, Thank You. For Example:

Most of you will know of one of my favourite bloggers, Anna McGarry. (If you don't, become one of us. Quickly now!) Yeah, we're starting a collab channel on YouTube together, just thought you'd like to know.

Shall I elaborate?

Me and Anna, who is also a fellow video blogger (channel here although her videos have mysteriously disappeared...) are going to be video blogging through a collab channel. Don't worry, I'll still be making videos for myself! But the thing is... We need a name. A cool name. And we want YOU to give us name for our channel! We'll probably start making videos this weekend. Our videos will have a different theme each week, and they will also be chosen by YOU. It's really interactive!

And so, to recap:

Me + Anna + YouTube = Channel
You + Me + Anna + YouTube = Cooler Channel With Name And Themes

Got that? Good.

NOW GIVE US A NAME! AND IDEAS FOR THEMES! NOW!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Literal Trailer

Remember when I posted the trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows? Well, thanks to Hank Green, I found this, and this is a masterpiece.

When I first watched the trailer, I didn't pay much attention to detail as the people who write HP Tumblrs did. I was just focused on the being a Harry Potter fangirl part. But now I see lots of things! Was Snape there all the time? (Of course he was - E.) If you want them (I know I do), these are the lyrics...

Introductory helicopter nature shot.
Bad guy at a safe distance
Second helicopter introductory nature shot
Bad guy at an uncomfortably close distance (turn)

Careful Harry, he doesn't have a nose.
Harry needs some sleep.
And he needs a nose.
And he needs some sleep.
And some new glasses.
And he needs a manicure.
Don't sleep yet Harry, he's gonna kill you LOOK OUT!

Spell, dodge, too many passengers,
dramatic turn,
how does that hold him up?
First time he touched a girl
Pan up pointy roof
Leaf bed look right
This movie is extremely important
Force field dissolves
Dramatically raise hand
That train is screwed
Slowly look left
This movie is the most important movie you will ever see
Back up in a library
Raise your hand and a wand
Dragon's pissed, Weasley's scared
Of a bunch of bad guys
but he acts brave while he runs.
You've gotta buy 2 tickets
Masked guy on a broom swerve
Run throw exploding
Running closer shot cast a spell
DUCK be careful with that stick too late.

OK, time out. Oh thank god OK. Catchin my breath. He's grabbin his face, whatever. OK go!

Dragon take off
People running
Downhill people running
Flex
Part 1 November walking
Chase that fire you wizards flying horse lizard
look out harry
Too late got him, help him Ron.

PART 2 July 2 BURNING
People Running backwards
Screaming
wave-hand upskirt
Windy
Kissing
Snape
cast spell
climb
look
blow up the town
Wizard lightning battle
Zoom huge shiny P
Then other letters come out.

This has definitely made my day.

All Time Low Clear My Head

My blog is now read by four people who I know in real life.

I'm not sure how I feel about this.

I mean, I'm immensely grateful for the support, don't go away! But as you will know by now, I don't like telling people stuff. I believe it shows vulnerability. I don't know why, but it must have been something to do with when I was a child, but I don't like showing vulnerability or weakness to anyone. Musings was a way I could vent my (edited) thoughts. I have a written diary, but that is a depressing place (even though the cover features pastel colours!), and I usually use it when I'm in school. And of course I use Musings to talk about music, and people I aspire to, and to improve my writing, etc.

And now, I be (pirate grammar!) in a strange situation.

A girl I know recently deleted her blog, saying that she wasn't comfortable with saying personal stuff to strangers. I can understand that, but I'd rather have strangers knowing my secrets than the old man living next door. And that's just it - I don't know how I can share personal stuff with people I know through the Internet, when the information isn't exclusively for them, and then, the next time we meet, have them forget what they read. Of course, the obvious situation would be that I don't share my feelings, but I can't not do that! Then blogging would be no fun. I'm just going to carry on like normal, in the hopes that I will keep Auto-Editing myself. But then, even if Musings was only read by a person in Finland, I would keep Auto-Editing myself, because this is the Internet! So what was the point of this post?

Here's a point: new video going up later today, I think. Thank you so much for the feedback on my Harry Potter one! Eight comments is my new record! If you want me to explain something else with Post-It notes in three minutes, drop it in the comments!

And now, a picture:

School.

Today is Tuesday, 17th of August. I am returning to school on Tuesday 31st August. That leaves me fourteen days. All I can really say is... Urgh. And I'm going into THIRD YEAR. For those of you who don't know, in the Irish secondary schooling system there are two exam years out of the six years in secondary school. Those are third year and sixth year. I am very, very worried. And whenever anyone says 'Don't worry Eleanor, it's only the Junior Cert!' I get even more panicked, I don't know why. So none of you are to comment that, you here me?

I'm going to make a list, because that'll cheer me up.

Good Things About Going Back To School:

  • Barnstorm.
  • The chance to do better then last year.
  • The chance of working on the school magazine.
  • The comfort in knowing that whatever happens, I'll get an A in history.
  • Barnstorm.
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One.
  • My birthday.
  • The birthday of this blog.
  • I can actually wear jeans without fuss.
  • If I get into trouble for something, I can blame it on 'exam stress'...
  • The three days a week of supervised study at school, away from all the distractions at home... Oh look! An electrical socket!
  • Barnstorm.
  • Fingerless gloves.
  • Re-decorating my locker again and again and again!
  • New stationary! I love buying stationary...
  • The comfort in knowing that no matter how bad things may get, at least Regina George doesn't go to my school.
  • The handiness of school uniform.
  • Curling up in front of the fireplace with a cup of tea.
  • Barnstorm.
  • Glee, Gossip Girl, The X Factor...
  • My school's (kind of) relaxed policy on hair colour!
  • The pressure to finish Fresia.
  • Skulduggery Pleasant: Mortal Coil.
  • NaNoWriMo.
  • Script Frenzy.
  • The chance to (hopefully!) be better organized then last year.
  • The chance to try to be nicer to people.
  • Christmas.
Things aren't that bad after all! When I get back to school, I'll print this out and put it in my locker, so if I ever feel disheartened, I can look at that and say 'I've got Barnstorm next week!' I'll keep you posted on my educational escapades...

New Bloggers On The Block (I Need A Life)

If you've been following Musings for a while, you'll notice that I talk about my favourite blogs sometimes, usually Miss Vintage Vixen, Messy Carla, Thunder + Threads... But I've found some fantastic new blogs that I'd like to show you. Because I can!

A Happiness Project

A nineteen year old girl embarks on a project to find true happiness, while documenting her adventures in a blog. I find this really inspiring. And I love reading about her trials and triumphs with her happiness project!

A Wallflower's Words

Macky from A Wallflower's Words is a fantastic writer, so creative, and poetic, and recently turned sixteen so happy birthday! And I like your new template.

fiction isn't fair

Fiction Isn't Fair has been one of my favourite blogs for a long time now. I love the way 'Unwritten' lays out her posts, and her honesty is refreshing. Her playlist and lists are cool too!

Ace-Of-Aoife

Ah, the Irish female teenage blogger. Up until recently they have been few and far between, but suddenly I found an onslaught of some awesome ones - or did they find me? Either way, this is one of the best. God, she's so damn nice, and funny, and I am incredibly jealous of her header.

Daydream Believer

Jamie is an English teacher who writes the funniest blog I've seen in a long time. She was even a Blog of Note a few weeks ago! Plus, she gave Grace from Not Another Love Song a huge shoutout. That was awesome.

Derek Landy Blogs Under Duress

This is the blog of Derek Landy, author of the Skulduggery Pleasant series. Oh, you want another reason? Well, if you're a Skulduggery fan, follow this blog. That was an order!

Hello, I've missed you quite terribly.

Ailish is one of the aforementioned rare Irish female teenage bloggers, witty, clever and opinionated. And also, I love saying I was her second follower. And she knows it!

Lauri Angel

Laura is a person I actually know, in my actual life (Yes, I have one of those, but I spend most of it on the Internet) but that isn't the reason I follow her blog. I follow her blog because of her amazing insights into the smallest things, which make you see things differently. I find it amazing, to be honest.

the big gay adventures of silly old daniel

This blog is so much fun to read! It allows me to secretly indulge in the shallow world of celebrity, while your guide Silly Old Daniel commentates, being hilarious and sometimes serious at the same time. Lovely.

Bangs and a Bun

Muireann from Bangs and a Bun is sassy, very opinionated, very dry, and has beautiful fashion sense. Bangs and a Bun has just been nominated for the Cosmo Blog Awards, in the Sex and Relationships category, and I suggest you vote for her.

If I've left you out, it's because I've been following you for a long time now, so you're not that new to me. I'll hopefully have a video up tomorrow, fingers crossed!

Quote Of The Week #17

Amortentia, supposedly the strongest love potion in the world, cannot create real love, only a sort of powerful obsession or infatuation. True love is a magic beyond spellbooks and ingredients, something that can change the course of the world. Love cannot be bottled or canned - in order for the magic to work; for the sparks to fly, the love must be real in nature and true on both sides. Love is not only the most powerful form of magic, but the greatest form of power.

Magic in Harry Potter - Wikipedia

The F Word (No, Not That F Word! Not THAT F Word Either! I'm Talking About The F WORD... Yes, That One.)

There are basically three F words that people complain about. The first one that comes to mind is basically harmless compared to the others. The second F word, Fat, is only dangerous because of the third F word, which is FEMINISM.

ARRRGH!!! FEMINISM!!! RUN!!!

People think that if you are a feminist, you are either a lesbian, an nagging woman, boring, stupid, someone who can't take a joke! These views of feminists are ignorant, stupid, and downright insulting. A feminist is someone who believes in equality for women. That's it. There's no need to burn your bras, or chain yourselves to railings to be a feminist. Good thing too, because a lot of men are feminists now, and the burning your bras thing would just be really awkward.

I was at a feminist seminar last night for the Kilkenny Arts Festival with four speakers, one of which was Nell McCafferty (famous in Ireland for starting the Contraceptive Train to Belfast to get contraceptives from the UK when they were illegal in Ireland thirty years ago), and another was a University College Dublin student, Bridget Fitzsimons, who is studying the media's perceptions of the female body next year for her Masters. She was the one I most identified with, because she only turned twenty-one that night and had grown up with the same media I have. She dissed Twilight and said that the main character has to change her entire body - no, species - for the man she loves, and in one of the other couples in the series the man is a werewolf and mauls his human girlfriend, but it's alright! He loves her! And Bridget pointed out that that is not really a nice message in that, and even if you're a bona fide Twi-hard, you have to agree that she does have a point.

When the discussion was thrown to the floor, I got the mic and told a story, which I will repeat to you now...

Before the summer, during a Religion class, the teacher left us for a while, but instead of talking about boys, (which is what most of us usually talk about...) we started talking about what we were going to be when we left school. A lot of the girls said they wanted to be teachers, nurses, make-up artists, but no less than seven girls said they wanted to get a footballer, marry him, and then spend the rest of their lives being rich and doing rich things. I was disgusted. Women in the Fifties, for example, like Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, were famous because they had a talent, like singing or dancing or acting, and that was celebrated. We are constantly being told that being famous is the same as being happy, but it isn't! It really isn't!

That is why I will proudly say that I am a feminist, because I want to change things for women and girls. And I don't see why any other woman would not want that. Do you want it?

Things I Really Must Do Over The Summer - Revisited #2!

I know I'm a little late with this, seeing as it's August 12th, but by doing this I want to prove a point. I have two weeks left in this summer. This is what I planned to do to fill the last three months:
  • Finish Fresia I'm on the third draft, but all the plays I've seen with the Red Square Kibosh have influenced my ideas...
  • Try to go to beach - often ...Ah. That. Well, I'm going on holiday next week, so maybe...
  • Go for picnics in Castle Park I've spent most of last month and this month inside the castle, and I have lunch there, with my friends, so can I pass? Hang on, this is my list! Of course I can!
  • Go to Holidays premiere Still waiting for details...
  • Read 100 books Ugh. I have failed miserably. I bow down to you Ariella!
  • Write list of 100 books to be read See 'Read 100 books'.
  • Write at least three articles for PunchTheSphinx 1 more to go...
  • Don't stay up and sleep all day, such a waste. (This blog post is being written at 00:52. I love burning the midnight oil, but it's really difficult because I can't wake the rest of the house, and they can't know I'm up... Why did I have to get the creaky door? I haven't done that since June! And I really want to. I had to get up early every day for the past month, thank you Red Square Kibosh and I'm relying on my last week to try to go to bed earlier, get in the habit for school. Wah!
  • Get new clothes. The Urlingford Package! Every year, my twenty-four year old cousin sends me all her old clothes, although she is very small, and her trousers are getting short in the leg... My cousin will be getting the Bennettsbridge Package soon. Then she'll pass the clothes on to another cousin. Who will pass the clothes on to her sister. Who will then get some new patches!
  • Watch three Audrey Hepburn movies. Ah.
  • Get new Converse. Remember the Stars and Stripes Converse I got? Well, they don't fit me anymore, so I got some new ones, (PRODUCT) Red for €14 euros in TK Maxx! My mum thinks they're too big for me, but Size 8 fits perfectly!
  • Dye hair bright red. I will be getting the ends of my hair dyed blue soon, and that'll be it. I was thinking about getting a pixie cut a la Emma Watson/Carey Mulligan, but I decided against it. For now...
When I was writing that, I got really annoyed, because from that list, you wouldn't think I've done much this summer at all. But I have! I have... (Bullet point time!)
  • Been an art critic
  • Cleared out my books (You'll find out about that in a post...)
  • Gave Kilkenny Some Loving
  • Learnt how to make coffee (Not for me, yuck!)
  • Took part in Life in a Day
  • Started video blogging
  • Learnt how to make podcasts (Should I make podcasts for you, my dears? Oh! I could do radio plays! That would be so cool!)
  • Been offered a once-in-a-lifetime interview opportunity which I will tell you about at the end of this post... (This is me, building up the suspense... Ooh...)
  • Learnt how to make animations (I'm in the middle of making one now, so keep your eyes peeled!)
I am so proud of myself! Everyone should do this, even if you think that you've done nothing this summer. Yes you have. And now, I have two things to tell you about! (Including the absolutely amazing interview that I am doing...Ooh...)

Second biggest but still important news first... I told you all that I was an author on PunchTheSphinx? Well, I've written this post on how to write a kick-ass blog, and I'd love it if you would give it a little read! I think it's my best post for PunchTheSphinx yet. Give it a read, and then check out some of the other articles! They're class like. (I've never typed that before. Wow.)

And now, on to my other news...

Remember the Red Square Kibosh? Of course you do! *ruffles hair fondly* Well, I have been given an ultra-exclusive opportunity...

To interview...

One-on-one...

DEREK LANDY!!!!!!

I'M GOING TO INTERVIEW DEREK LANDY THIS SATURDAY!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!

ME! DEREK LANDY! INTERVIEW!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those who are not fans of the Skulduggery Pleasant books, that's the author. I'm going to get an exclusive interview with him on Saturday. Two days time. *faints*

So, everybody, if you have any questions for Derek, put them in the comments, and they shall be asked! (Well, you know, the sensible ones. Nothing offensive, don't try that.) Remember, give them to me by Saturday!

Trying to come up with a new sign-off thingy,

The Irish: How Not To Annoy Us

As an Irish person living in Ireland in the middle of the summer, I will often meet tourists from America/Australia/Western Europe/The Moon, who are all very tanned, and usually very confused. Because I am a good-ish citizen of Ireland, I have made a guide which you can use to help you understand how annoying you are, and how to avoid this and build more stable international relations, just like in the Triwizard Tournament. Because we get annoyed. That's why we have hurling, so we can work off all that tension. I know. We're barbarians.

1. Don't shout, our noise pollution is bad enough.

I walk into Kilkenny, and along with the other urban noises, we now have to contend with Spanish teenagers shouting in Spanish about how cold it is, how surprisingly warm it is, how bored they are, and lots of other inane stuff. Please, if you absolutely have to say it, be a little more polite and keep your voices down?

2. When I dance in the rain, don't give me funny looks.

When we give funny looks, we do it discreetly, and then complain about the subject over a cup of tea with a friend later. (The dirty look, is of course, another thing altogether...) When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

3. You are probably not Irish.

No one cares if your third cousin four times removed's aunt's grandmother once had a friend who made a 30 second phone call to Ireland once. YOU ARE NOT IRISH. I know how much you would like to be, but deal with it. We can't all be perfect.

4. Tea is ours.

Whoever said tea was English was such a wannabe (but still, can't blame them). People think that at four o'clock in the afternoon we just drop everything to have a cup of tea. We don't. We drink tea all the time. The minimum is six cups a day. Because doctor's bills are so expensive, we just have tea instead. IT IS NOT ENGLISH, IT IS IRISH! (Yes, I know technically it's Indian, but why are you even bothering to point this out to me? It's still ours!)

5. We don't wear green all the time.

Just because it's our colour and everything doesn't mean we wear it all the time. I once saw an American wearing head to toe green exclaiming to his more sane Irish friend 'I'm embracing your natural Irish culture! I'm trying to blend in!' That is not blending in. That is making a fool of yourself... But thanks for making the effort.

On behalf of the Irish people, I beseech all foreign tourists to show a little bit of respect, for God's sake!

DFTBA,

Eleanor Roscuro

Quote Of The Week #16

'You did brilliantly, Ron!' This time it really was Hermione running toward them from the stands; Harry saw Lavender walking off the pitch, arm in arm with Parvati, a rather grumpy expression on her face. Ron looked extremely pleased with himself and even taller than usual as he grinned at the team and at Hermione.

Music at Musings - Pendulum, Biffy Clyro, Oasis, 30 Seconds to Mars, Vampire Weekend, The XX, Mark Ronson and the Business International

Good evening everybody! Instead of cleaning my room, making brownies, writing summaries of all the workshops I did in the past two weeks and researching Susan Philipz for a talk tomorrow, I've decided to give you a Music at Musings instead. Hooray for procrastination! Let's go, I still need to do all that stuff...

Pendulum - Witchcraft

I think it's like dance music, but it's electronic rock. So that's alright then.

Biffy Clyro - God & Satan

Everyone, I have a problem. I think I'm in love with the lead singer of Biffy Clyro. Oh well! Let's watch the video! Yay!

Oasis - The Importance Of Being Idle

Two months ago, a friend of mine posted this on Facebook, saying that he kept watching this instead of studying for his impending Junior Cert. I have to say, I really can't blame him. But hey, I don't mind... As long as there's a roof beneath the stars that shine. (Sorry, had to put it in!)

30 Seconds To Mars - Closer to the Edge

I'd heard of 30 Seconds To Mars before, but I'd never heard any of their songs... Until (Yes, I'll say it again...) MTV Rocks showed their video of Closer to the Edge on the Official Rock Chart. It's the best music video I have ever seen. Epic. Although I do feel like a sneak, because this is the only 3STM song I know.

Vampire Weekend - Holiday

Everyone at The Red Square Kibosh listen to Vampire Weekend while we work. It's the perfect album for stencilling!

The XX - Islands

I don't care if this is weird or not, but I call this performance art. Maybe because I've spent the last two weeks looking at it. I had to listen to a few times before I liked it, but it's worth it! Look closely...

Mark Ronson and the Business International - Bang Bang Bang

Isn't that girl cool? Isn't that rapper cool? Isn't Mark Ronson cool? Isn't this song cool? Of course it is, the damn song's called Bang Bang Bang.

And now, my dears, I must fly, to clean my room and make brownies and feck it I'm going to bed. Thanks for all your nice comments about my vlog! I've been trying to upload another for days, but it never uploads. It is infuriating. And I've become a Nerdfighter. I'll tell you about that in a bit, but I can reveal that it is awesome.

DFTBA,

Eleanor Roscuro

First Vlog! I'm Taking Over The World With Musky Armpits!

What a weird title.

So, this is my very first vlog! I promise the next one will be shorter, mainly because this one took thirteen hours to upload, and made me very grumpy. I had to stay up until four o'clock last night, and only got five hours of sleep to interview the curator of the visual arts strand in the Kilkenny Arts Festival. It's Oliver Dowling if you're interested... Anyway...

Life In A Day Is Resurrected!

I have found my Life in a Day videos! I love you Picasa, even though I can't resize pictures so I can't use them as post headers and thumbnails on PTS, but I still love you! I'm sorry everyone, for being so cross and swearing so much on my last post about it. I was just frustrated. But now you get to see my tour of Kilkenny, in all it's unedited, hand-shakingly glory! My hand does shake a lot. Just so you know. And I couldn't show you all my favourite places in Kilkenny, because YouTube only allows ten minutes, and the camera I was using only had ten minutes of film in it, so that was convenient. I recorded it in six parts, this is the first:

I know, I know, it's unprofessional and weird. But I've never vlogged before, so bear with me!

And here's the link to Grace's posts on St. Canice's Cathedral! Sorry that my close-up is really close up, there was no room in that tower, and I was afraid of dropping the camera! Onwards... I keep saying that!

No, you don't have to give me money! I hope I won't be arrested or anything for that...

My hair and my eyes are crazy! I think I will start vlogging this week, and I assure you the camera will be steadier! At the moment my YouTube username is EleanorLight14 but I'm hoping this can change... And I have 41 followers?! This is awesome! Thank you so much everybody!

High-Fives,

I am at the age where my friends are suddenly having children. I have even been asked to be a godfather, although I am still learning the rules of what you can and can't say. Recently my friend was telling me about his new baby boy.
'He's got a new sound that he does,' he said, looking pale and tired. 'He just sits there and goes NYUP. NYUP. NYUP. For hours and hours. He was making it all last night. NYUP. NYUP. NYUP.'
He smiled weakly, in a 'What can you do?' kind of way. I tried to sympathise.
'He sounds like a dick,' I said.
My friend just looked at me.
'But he did,' I said to my wife, as she silently collected our things.

Remember The Red Square Kibosh? Well, one of my new friends drew me a picture yesterday...

I love it, but I don't know how to repay her, since I can't actually draw... Any suggestions?
